A lovely spring morning beckons
With the sun out and shining
I in my prettiest dress
With a chapeu red and bright
Out I go with my tresses flying
Lovely path, long and winding
I move briskly on nimble feet
The birds all excited and flirting
With one blossom and then another
Flock of sheep go bleating by
I see those wild Morning Glory
Swaying with the breeze
Whistling merrily unseen and swift
And over those colourful Aster
Rapturous in the morning light.
Yonder are the green hills
With tall and slender trees
And higher still and beyond
Snow peaks of gigantic massifs
In shades of blue and mauve
Then calamity befalls me
The earth moves from under my feet
I go tumbling down
Into an abyss dark and deep
Falling it seems for eternity
I say my prayers and all
For my sins I beg forgiveness
I think of dear and near ones
Then my fall ends with a thud..ouch!
I fell from my bed!
